CLASS DESCRIPTION
Principles of Bible Study:
This course is designed to reveal the importance of studying God's Holy Word. It will encourage and assist each student in developing a study method that will become a consistent part of his or her life in Christ.
Principles of Faith:
The Word of God reminds us in several scriptures that "the righteous shall (must) live by faith." This is not a suggestion, but a commandment. This class will lay a foundation of the principle workings of faith: What is faith: How does faith grow? How does faith bring victory? How do I maintain victory through faith?
Prayer Ministry of the Church:
The first essential element of any service, program, or event must be prayer. Prayer gives us direction and instruction in our Christian life. Different aspects of our communion with God through prayer and practical application of prayer principles will be experienced.
The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit:
This class will examine the personality of the Holy Spirit and His ministry. Not only will we examine His ministry to the Body of Christ at large, but also to us as individual believers. A special emphasis will be placed on the Fruit of the Holy Spirit and discovering how to display God's character.
Covenants and Dispensations:
Students will study the eight covenants estabilshed by God emphasizing the significance as related to Jesus Christ and the believer. Dispensational truths coupled with covenant revelations will add understanding to the plan of God for all Christians.
Sharing Your Faith:
A practical course in the "how's and why's" of witnessing. You will receive the tools and equipping to be an effective Christian witness.
Understanding Missions:
Because you are a believer, every place you go is a potential mission field. This course will enhance your understanding and strengthen your faith to serve the Lord everywhere you go. Missionaries from several countries will share with the class principles that have led them into successful and lasting ministries.
Old Testament Survey:
This course is an exciting journey through the Bible involving real people. It is a study of the people whose biographies have been preserved by divine inspiration in the Word of God. "All these things happened to them for examples; and they are written for our learning...." (ICorinthians 10:11)
Church Government and History:
An overview of the history of the church focusing on the early stages of development as found in the ministry of Jesus, the book of Acts, and the Pauline epistles. A survey and explanation of the various forms of church government recognized today.
Bibliology: The Doctrines of the Bible:
This class is intended to equip the student of God's Word with the basic doctrines of Christianity. As students and ministers of the Word of God, we need to know what we believe and why we believe it. This class will also touch on the identity of man as being spirit, sould, and body, and how to better work in obedience to God's Word.
New Testament Survey:
An in-depth look at the men and women of the New Testament whose lives made an impact for God in their day and how those principles apply to believers today.
Integrity in Ministry:
This is a study of Christian ethics and integrity as applied to everyday life. It encompasses sound Biblical principles and practical applications for the problems encountered in the ministry. Students will learn there is a divine design and purpose of God for the life of a Christian.
